Learning From the Corinthians (Part 16) | 1 Cor. 8:1-3"Knowledge puffs up" is often wielded as a warning against intellectualism in Christianity. But is this statement true?Knowledge can lead to pride and a sense of superiority when it is incorrect or incomplete. True knowledge, however, humbles us as we become more aware of what we don't know.We can only worship God rightly when we know Him truly. That's why Scripture urges us to grow in our knowledge of God. To avoid falling into pride, our pursuit of knowledge must be motivated by love for God. Only then will our lives align with the truth of His Word.
