On Perspective...

from Walking Alongside: Perspectives · host Charissa McKay

Have thoughts or ideas? Please share here! With everything going on in the world right now, and a funny thing that happened one night, it seemed like taking a look at the term "perspective" might not be the worst idea. From whether we can see, to how we see, to what we should be looking for or at, perspective is something that seems to be sorely lacking right now. It's difficult to have conversations because we don't want to misstep or offend when really, neither of those things should happen if we can all just calm the f**k down and listen to what the other person is saying. If they are yelling or being belligerent, fine - walk away. But we can't and shouldn't always agree - that's an impossibility. But we can respect our right to agree to disagree...and that's an art in an of itself. In this episode a brief look at my take on the perspectives I've listened to about what's going on in Venezuela, the need to be able to see to drive and graduation...enjoy. The songs featured in this episode are:Waiting for the End - Linkin ParkBlowin' in the Wind - Bob DylanSomewhere Only We Know - KeaneMr. Bluesky - ELO Listen wherever you get your podcasts - you can find Walking Alongside on Podcast Addict, Podchaser, Pocket Casts, Deezer, Player FM, Tune-In and of course Spotify, Google Player and Apple Podcasts - where if you can leave a comment or throw me some ideas of topics you'd like to hear about, that would be great. Walking Alongside is written, recorded and produced by me - Charissa McKay (aka CharCharBinx) in my awesome basement home office/studio/craft room on Treaty 6 lands known originally as amiskwaciy-wâskahikan, meaning Beaver Hill House, in Nehiyawewin (Cree). There are other names, equally as meaningful, and I am grateful to those who were here before me, for the ability to call this place my home. Thanks for listening - follow me on Instagram @CharChar_bincks
