On Point (Pt 3) - Word

from thisistheROCK · host the ROCK

A student's language is always changing. Students used to say 'cool', now they say 'lit'. Students used to called their peers 'friends', now they call them 'fam'. A common saying today with students is the phrase, on point. On point means to be perfect or to be awesome. We’re using the phrase ‘On Point’ to be a description of the ROCK and our faith. We’ll be looking at Acts 2:42 as our example of a church that is ‘On Point’ and see what the believers did to be that way. Each week we’ll look at a different aspect of an ‘On Point’ church: fellowship, prayer and the apostle’s teaching. Tonight we see that the early believers committed themselves to the apostle's teaching, which we would call the Bible today. We see that God's Word plays an important role in the life of the follower of Jesus. We'll see that if we want to grow, we need to read!
