On the Case: From the NYPD to Crime Author, an Interview with Anthony Celano

For his first career, Mr. Celano served twenty-two years in the New York Police Department.  He attained the rank of detective and detective sergeant squad commander.  His assignments: the Queens District Attorney’s Office Squad, the Drug Enforcement Administration Joint Task Force, n the  Organized Crime Control Bureau,  the Colombo Organized Crime Task Force and various detective squads in Brooklyn and Manhattan.   He retired from the NYPD in 1995. Starting a second career, Mr. Celano founded Full Security, Inc. to serve the investigative security needs of marquee clients like Pershing Capital, Conde Nast, Morgan Stanley, BBDO, Price Waterhouse Coopers, M &M, Thomas Lee, McGraw Hill, Pepsi, Durst, Paul Weiss, Pillsbury Winthrop, Paine Webber and other major corporations/high net worth individuals. He also created the Streetwise Communication Training Program serving clients such as Morgan Stanley,  News Corp, Nassau Community College,  Rutgers University, UNLV, Bear Stearns,  Marsh & Mclennan, Boars Head,  NYC Department of Homeless Services, McGraw Hill, and the NYPD.    Retiring from his investigative/securities business in 2017, Mr. Celano began his pursuit of a third career as an author of novels. He created the ongoing Sergeant Markie Mystery Series. Mr. Celano is a former Board Member of the Tiro a Segno of New York and served on their nominating committee.  He is currently a member of the Tiro a Segno Membership Committee.
