‘ON THE GROUND’ SHOW FOR JUNE 16, 2023: Use of the Foreign Agent Registration Act to Target Movements for Justice & Power… Government Attacks on the African People’s Socialist Party and Cop City Protesters…

With members of the African People's Socialist Party indicted for exercising freedom of speech, #copcity protesters charged with domestic terrorism, and bail fund organizers arrested by a military-stye SWAT team, human right advocates held a recent gathering to understand this targeting of activists as the most recent iteration of the notorious FBI COINTELPRO program that worked to destroy 1960s freedom movements. For this hour, we hear voices from part one of the virtual program held June 8th, 2023 by the Expose COINTELPRO and Beyond Coalition. With Shafeah Mbalia, Ruqayya Ali, Juilee Shivalkar and Mwezi Odom. The show is made possible only by our volunteer energy, our resolve to keep the people's voices on the air, and by support from our listeners. In this new era of fake corporate news, we have to be and support our own media! Please click here or click on the Support-Donate tab on this website to subscribe for as little as $3 a month. We are so grateful for this small but growing amount of monthly crowdsource funding on Patreon. PATREON NOW HAS A ONE-TIME, ANNUAL DONATION FUNCTION!
