‘ON THE GROUND’ SHOW FOR MAY 31, 2024: Mustafa Barghouti, the Palestinian Youth Movement, and More from the People’s Conference for Palestine in Detroit. Part One

On this show, we spend the hour hearing from Palestinian physician and political leader Mustafa Barghouti, members of the Palestinian Youth Movement, and others speaking on the first day of the historic People's Conference for Palestine, held May 24-26, 2024, in Detroit. The conference was held as 125,000 Palestinians in Gaza have been either killed or seriously wounded in attacks by the Israeli military since October. But despite this tremendous loss, speakers stressed resilience, resistance and victory.  Also with Mohammed Nabulsi, Laura Khoury, Hind Khoudary and Yara Shoufani. Recorded by Breakthrough News. Produced for radio and podcast by Esther Iverem. This is part one of our coverage from conference. The show is made possible only by our volunteer energy, our resolve to keep the people's voices on the air, and by support from our listeners.
