from Sacramental Whine · host David Oliver Kling

In this episode, I had the honor of interviewing: Friar Joseph Menna who serves as Prior General and Bishop, as well as a founding member, of the Augustinians of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He received a degree in Religious Studies at La Salle University, earned a Master of Science degree in Education, and has been an educator for over 25 years.  A former Order of Saint Augustine Friar, Friar Joseph has a background in religious studies, personal development, spirituality, psychology, and mathematics.  Bishop Joseph was ordained to the priesthood in 2005 and consecrated in 2014. In the interview, we discuss several topics including, His elevator speech. He describes what makes the Augustinians of the Immaculate Heart of Mary unique and what does it mean to be an Augustinian. He discusses the Communion of Synodal Catholic Churches and what makes his jurisdiction unique. We talked about how being bi-vocational in education has informed his ministry. He talked about his greatest challenge as a friar, priest, and bishop. Finally, we talked about his greatest blessing within ministry.
