On William Kentridge - We need both light and shade to see ft. Dr. Stephen Clingman

This is part 2 of my interview with Dr. Stephen Clingman, the author of the exhibition catalogue for the exhibition, William Kentridge, which is currently on view at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum till September 1, 2024. In this episode, Stephen shares with us how Kentridge’s work welcomes people to explore the boundary space together, to reflect on the darkness of colonialism and apartheid, and realize how we need both light and shade to see, to really make sense of our world and our relation to it.
