Onboard the Superyachts of the world with Marcela

from The Boat Princess Podcast · host The Boat Princess/Pip Raedio

Welcome to another episode of The Boat Princess Podcast, live from Dubai. We are sitting on a beautiful terrace overlooking the beautiful city. Today I am with Marcela de Kern Royer who established her business, Onboard, in the Principality of Monaco in 2015 which operates as a highly specialised company in a truly niche sector offering unrivalled expertise when it comes to business strategy, marketing and brand management in the Superyacht world. Marcela shares her insights and how she created an understanding of the world in business and boating.  From closing deals to dinner dates with the Dutch, knowing how to interpret the English Language: sarcasm, sugar coating and straight shooting, Marcela takes us on a deep dive into building relationships that really connect and benefit each other.  She combines a passion for yachting with a strong international academic background, with past experience in asset management including Superyachts, she has gained excellent exposure to all facets of the industry, starting as a supplier and having experience in new build, refit, brokerage, and yacht management. Wait until you hear about her grandfathers innovative adventures and you'll be left with no doubts as to why this lady is exactly where she is meant to be and thriving. From underwater lights to the Marinas of Monaco, a true citizen of the world, Marcela speaks six languages with Spanish as her mother tongue; English, Italian, French, German and Portuguese also.
