In questo episodio faremo un viaggio attraverso le primissime trasmissioni, scoprendo come le voci e le musiche iniziarono a viaggiare sulle frequenze, dai primi esperimenti dell'URI fino alle trasmissioni sperimentali di Reginald Fessenden che, in una notte di Natale, stupì i marinai atlantici con il suono di un violino. Esploreremo i diversi modelli che emersero nel mondo: il modello competitivo dei broadcaster americani, basato sulla pubblicità e sull'intrattenimento, e quello di servizio pubblico che si affermò in Europa, Ascolteremo una delle prime dirette radiofoniche del calcio con la voce di Nicolò Carosio. Ma le onde della radio non portarono solo svago. Racconteremo come questo mezzo di comunicazione si trasformò in uno strumento di propaganda e resistenza durante uno dei periodi più bui della nostra storia. Dalla voce incontrastata del regime fascista che utilizzava la radio per indottrinare le masse, al coraggio dei partigiani che, in segretezza, ascoltavano Radio Londra per trovare speranza e informazioni.E in questo intricato intreccio di voci, bugie e verità, la radio ci porterà fino a un momento storico indimenticabile: il 25 aprile 1945. Ascolteremo le parole di Sandro Pertini, che da Milano annunciò la fine della guerra, una voce carica di emozione e di liberazione che giunse nelle case degli italiani, sancendo un nuovo inizio.

Drosjemysteriet Stenersen Østlendingen Torsdag 13. juli 1972 fikk drosjeeier Gudmund Stenersen i Rendalen bestilling på en langtur til Vestlandet. Han la igjen en lapp hjemme til familien som fortalte at han skulle kjøre noen turister som hadde ødelagt bilen sin til Møre. Han kunne ventes tilbake lørdag eller søndag. Så forsvant han. Stenersen-saken har vært et av norgeshistoriens mest omtalte kriminalsaker. I løpet av de snart 50 åra som er gått har politiet brukt tusenvis av timer på ulike vitneobservasjoner, feilspor og teorier mens det har versert fantasifulle historier på hva som egentlig skjedde med drosjesjåføren Gudmund Stenersen.
