Trump en Poetin hebben afgesproken dat de onderhandelingen over het einde van de oorlog in Oekraïne onmiddellijk beginnen. Dat heeft Trump na een telefoongesprek bekend gemaakt op Truth Social. Daarbij geldt dat het niet realistisch is om terug te gaan naar de grenzen van voor 2014, dat zei de Amerikaanse minister van Defensie Hegseth.
