One Battle After Another

It’s all ocean waves this week because Brian returns for One Battle After Another. We unpack the film’s urgent political and cultural themes, drawing clear parallels between its story and what’s happening in America right now. The cycles of division powdered by racism and control that lead to constant ideological warfare. Teyana Taylor’s magnetic performance is truly one of the best of the year, Sean Penn’s volatile intensity cements him as one of the great movie villains, and Chase Infinity’s first film role 🤯 INCREDIBLE. We also dive into Leonardo DiCaprio, and how his performance feels a little phoned in compared to the rest of the cast. The episode wraps with our thoughts on the Best Actor Oscar conversation, and who truly deserves the spotlight this year. Make sure to follow Brian instagram & Tik Tok.
