One Child Matters

One Child Matters is a child development organization helping to meet the physical and spiritual needs of children in poverty-stricken areas of the world. By connecting ONE sponsor to ONE child, they ensure children receive food, education, medical aid, and hope in Jesus. There is only ONE mission. He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16:15 (NIV) If we aren't careful… we can compartmentalize the simplicity of what Jesus asked us to do… and treat other gospel strategies as less important than others. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor." And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Matthew 16:18 (NLT) The local church is the hope of the world. …if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV) The Great Commission is a RELATIONAL command for a RELATIONAL impact.  You're here to defend the defenseless, to make sure that underdogs get a fair break… Psalm 82:3-4 (MSG) Your job is to stand up for the powerless… Psalm 82:3-4 (MSG) That's what I love about this organization… they are making a way for INDIVIDUALS to have an INDIVIDUAL impact… that collectively makes a difference. (ONE child matters… not 40,000) Only ONE name gets the credit. "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved."
