The squad heads to our movement sister city for this episode of One Million Experiments with the Detroit Safety Team, led by Curtis Renee and John Sloan III. The organization, which was birthed out of creating anticarceral safety processes for the Detroit-based Allied Media Conference, builds a network of community-trained safety practitioners across the city, providing a pathway toward communities that are self reliant—where it is understood that we have the capacity to rely on ourselves and our community to stay safe and handle harm productively.
