One Million for Youth in Jacksonville | Jacksonville News

A record-breaking $1 million donation from the Warren and Augusta Hume Foundation is fueling a permanent endowment for Elevate Jacksonville, ensuring year-round youth development programs in Duval County schools. This strategic investment supports mentoring and character-building initiatives, part of the Hume Foundation’s mission to strengthen educational opportunities for kids. It’s their third major gift this year—following $250K to The Sanctuary on 8th Street and $400K to the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus—and will be managed by the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, freeing Elevate to focus entirely on empowering young people.
