'One of Her Best Days': Patrick Clancy Testifies, the Man Who Slept in the House of the Woman He Killed, 'Bring a Gun' at a Walmart

Lindsay Clancy's murder trial opened Monday, July 27, in Plymouth Superior Court, with her ex-husband Patrick Clancy as the Commonwealth's first witness. Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse, has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder in the January 24, 2023 deaths of her children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — at the family's Duxbury, Massachusetts home. She does not dispute that she caused their deaths; the contested question is criminal responsibility. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington argues postpartum psychosis; Assistant District Attorney Shanan Buckingham told jurors Clancy acted deliberately. Judge William Sullivan is presiding, and Patrick Clancy's testimony resumes Wednesday. Also: in Meigs County, Ohio, Samuel Hochstetler, 19, pleaded guilty July 24 to aggravated murder in the March 12, 2025 killing of 28-year-old schoolteacher Rosanna Kinsinger, and was sentenced by Judge Linda Warner to life with parole eligibility after 25 years — remaining counts were dismissed under the plea and were never proven at trial. And in Las Vegas, Raqiya Smith, 25, and Ameea Blue, 30, are charged after a July 21 fight outside a Boulder Highway Walmart; police say Smith called her husband, Travis Dewayne Ward, 35, and told him to bring a gun.
