Will Holt wrote the lyrics for such hits as "Lemon Tree" and "The MTA Song." He told me that when people asked him for other titles, they went blank when he said "One of those Songs." Huh? But once he SANG the opening, "It's just One of those Songs that you hear now and then..." AH, YES. But just to confound things, Freddy Morgan offers it as a banjo instrumental. He dedicated this "straight" version of Cocktails for Two to his old boss, Spike Jones. Both are on the BUNCH-A-BANJOS album. Will Holt, in solo folk singer mode, recorded several albums. He also teamed with wife Dolly Jonah for the comedy and music album "On the Brink," back when they were on the nightclub circuit playing some of the same venues as Stiller & Meara and Nichols & May.
