One, Part 2: Live One

    (John 17:20) (NIV) "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,” (John 17:21) (NIV) “..that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”(John 17:23) “I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” Title of message: Live One(James 2:14) “What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?” Can such faith save him?(James 2:15-17) “Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (James 2:18) “But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.”How do we go from loving one to living one? 1.    Do I share my life?(1 Thessalonians 2:8) “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us."(Proverbs 18:1) (NKJV) “A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.”2.    Do I make an effort toward unity? (Ephesians 4:1-2) “As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”(Ephesians 4:3) “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:4-6) “There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (PICTURE OF FLOAT TEAM)(Ephesians 4:12-16) “…so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.
