One Piece Live Action is Miraculously Good

from Peak of Fiction Podcast · host BaitZaDust

Death Note failed. Attack on Titan Failed. Dragon Ball Failed. Yet somehow, the most fantastical series out of them all is a smashing success. Much like the bumblebee, there is no scientific reason why One Piece Live Action on Netflix should be this good, and yet it is. In an attempt to figure out why this works so well, BaitZaDust, Supa O and Beto breakdown the season and discuss the source material deviations, hits and occasional misses across One Piece season 1 while looking forward to what is coming in season 2. On the way we will try to figure out why Arlong and the Fishman are so black-coded, does Tsundere Zoro work and whether or not Luffy's rubber powers look good.
