He toured full time performing and teaching in the 80s and 90s. During his travels he was a guest in a number of multigenerational households, which inspired him to create a new kind of living arrangement back home in Florence, MA. In 2008, he purchased and renovated a home to support intergenerational co-living — where in place of blood family, he has built an intentional, non-blood household.
