One Story, Two Ways: Casual and Polite Japanese (ft. Shun)

Hear the same story twice. Once with a close friend, once with someone from work.This time Shun joins me, and we tell two real stories in casual Japanese first, then in polite Japanese. The first one is about a friend whose marriage is falling apart. The second one is about the time my eye hurt for a week, and what the doctor found.The casual version has zero control. This is how we actually talk with a close friend.You don't need to catch every word. Notice how the vocabulary and the grammar change, and also what we choose to say. With a friend you can just say "dasa" (that's lame).
