One-Way Passage

Originally Aired: March 6, 1939 Lux Radio Theater #209, "One-Way Passage," presents a poignant romance shadowed by fate as two strangers meet aboard a ship bound for San Francisco. Dan Hardesty, a condemned man being transported to San Quentin by detective Steve Burke, encounters the beautiful Joan Ames during the voyage. Neither initially reveals their desperate circumstances to the other as they fall deeply in love. Joan, hiding her own terminal illness, and Dan, concealing his death sentence, find solace in each other's company as they sail across the Pacific.
