During her 20 years of work with local organizations providing support for Mental Health, Recovery, Substance Abuse, Sex Trafficking and Homelessness, Paula became acutely aware of the insidious nature of unresolved shame and understood that secrecy and judgment are what make shame thrive. She created this interactive experience to shine light into shadows, to see the unseen, to give voice to the unspeakable and change the public perception of shame.A graduate from The Chicago Art Institute, Paula is an artist who finds beauty not only in painting and sculpture, but in the people and places that others avoid.
