ONE YEAR WITH JESUS: New Age to New Life

Welcome back to Heaven & Healing Podcast — the first episode of 2023! This is my special “One Year with Jesus” anniversary episode where I share the synopsis of my testimony for anyone who hasn’t heard it before and from there reflect on what my first full year walking with the Lord has been like.   The episode starts with the background context of where I’m coming from: New Age spirituality, obsessed with ‘self-healing’ modalities such as tarot, astrology, yoga, reiki, crystal healing and more. I discuss how even though I spent nearly a decade entrenched in those things, there was never true, substantial healing — only bouts of relief that would eventually perpetuate more patterns of bad behavior, anxiety and chronic depression.   I was 27 years old, curled up on my kitchen floor ready to end my life when I called out to Jesus Christ for the first time in September 2021. By late December 2021, after straddling the fence of “New Age Christianity” for several months, I finally laid my life before the Lord’s feet in conviction of the Holy Spirit and, by the grace of God, surrendered faith to Jesus Christ entirely.   Christ healed my relationship anxiety, my ongoing depression, my lustful tendencies and my bondage to demonic deception of NA.   A year later, I continue to be sanctified by God’s peace that surpasses all understanding.   In this episode, I share what it was like with my NA circle after I came to know Jesus, how my mom’s salvation followed my own, give a look into my relationship with my fiancé before and after his experience finally coming-to-Christ, reflect on the difference in how I handle struggles before I knew Jesus vs. now, share some things I am accused of with maintaining my platform, praise God for the opportunities He has given me to glorify Himself, discuss the way God has both humbled my theology and allowed me to embrace my freedom in Christ post-NA where I was afraid of demonic deception.   There’s a special message for unbelievers at the end that I pray God will use to reach ears to listen.   Finally, I conclude with an important announcement regarding future exclusive content.   Thanks for the support this year.
