Online guide helps private well owners avoid contamination

Private well owners are responsible for checking if their water is safe to drink. The state DNR’s new online tool helps people interpret their test results. But once contamination enters a well, removal is often expensive and time consuming. The “Water WELLness” guide focuses on prevention – describing steps well owners can take to keep contaminants out of their water.
