Only One Thing that Counts

Philippians 3:7-11 confronts us with the radical reversal of the gospel. Paul counts all former confidence, status, and self-righteousness as loss so that he may gain Christ. This sermon unfolds the meaning of being found in Christ with a righteousness that comes from God, not from the law, and explores the excellence of knowing Christ in His death and resurrection. We consider what it means to die to the old man, to embrace the fellowship of Christ's sufferings, and to walk in the power of His resurrection. The message calls believers to reject confidence in the flesh and rejoice in the covenant union that secures justification, adoption, sanctification, and the hope of glory.
