EV CAR CRASHES: WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT SAFETY DURING A CRASH AND PUTTING OUT FIRES Libby Znaimer is joined by Jingwen Hu, Research Professor and Associate Director of the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute, and Randy Narine, a professional firefighter and a Hazmat Tech who is also on the Board of Directors for the Clean Energy Safety and Training Council. Last week, four individuals were tragically killed and one person seriously injured as a result of a Tesla car crash on Lakeshore Blvd. The flames from the crash fire were intense. We reached out to the two experts to get a sense of safety around EVs.
