Nearly two weeks into the war he started, U.S. President Donald Trump is still struggling to explain why he launched a war with Iran, how long he will keep fighting it, and what he wants aside from "unconditional surrender". In the meantime, a new Supreme Leader has been chosen, the U.S. may have committed a war crime, and the region is sinking further into a conflict with no end in sight.
