This week we take a break from 2nd Samuel to hear from Dan Pettersen, a church planter now working with WEC NZ/East West College, discussing our call from God, looking at the story of Jonah. Dan starts by posing the question "Did you ever get the sense that God was asking you to step out and do something?" He then jumps into the story of Jonah, starting in chapter 1. After giving some background of the area that Jonah was to go into, Dan looks deeper into the struggle that Jonah faced with the command he had been given by God. As Dan continues to journey through the book of Jonah and discuss what the outcome of Jonah's trip brought, he looks at the practical applications we can take from this story when we look at the journey that we are being called on by God, covered in 3 different steps. Dan wraps up his message with Romans 8:29, discussing God's "predetermined plan to make you more like Christ".
