We kick off the new year as most people do... by reflecting on the film adaptation of musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS. Since your hosts Mike and Dave have not a musical bone in their body (just very bitter ones) we welcome singer/songwriter JACOB HALLER on from the podcast TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SONG to explain the appeal of this film that opens with a song about heartbreak and closes with a song about heartbreak. Thankfully we are united in our defense of the great ANNA KENDRICK and are also graced by Mr. Haller re-writing one of the more troubling songs to be a bit more humorous and honest.
