Civil Rights podcast Caitlin Groome Elaine was born in Pennsylvania in 1943. She is a “Distinguished Graduate” of the Philadelphia High School for Girls. When she was older she attended college at the University of California where she was introduced to the Black Panther Party, African Americans members would fight for their rights. She then became the chairwoman in the party. Elaine than became the first woman to lead the Party. Imagine That Sydnee Sydnee is 20 something-year-old black girl who finds herself talking out loud instead of writing in her journal because it takes too long. I named this podcast "Imagine That" for 2 reasons, first its an ode to an old bookstore I loved when I was a kid (I'm one of those girls who loves to buy books but then either never finishes them or opens them) and secondly my head is always in the clouds. This podcast talks about anything from my fears, Tupac conspiracy theories, challenges, messy work life, friends, sports, and anything else that comes to mind. Enjoy! Truth Encounter: The Last Week - Rejected in Jerusalem Podcast After hard frosts and heavy snows, finally March Madness begins. It brings not only the best show in basketball, but Easter lilies in Wal-Mart and beautiful new dresses on racks for moms to buy for their little girls. It’s the triumph of warmth over cold, of tulip blossoms over ugly bulbs, but most of all it’s the time when more than 2 billion Christians across the globe look back to the events of Passion Week, the Last Week, the time when Jesus was rejected in Jerusalem. . His Last Week on earth began with shouts, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” It ended with “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” How could this week in a land hardly the size of New Jersey where a peasant was crucified like thousands of other Jews by the Romans be the climax of all of history? Offline, The Podcast Alison Rice For recovering Girl Bosses everywhere. Hosted by one of Australia's most in-demand conscious career and business mentors, Alison Rice, Offline is a series of honest conversations dedicated to exploring who we are when we're sitting in our True Self and how that life-affirming realisation changes the way we define success. How do we want to be living? What are we really here to do? What are we no longer willing to sacrifice in pursuit of an outdated definition of success that can’t and doesn’t support the natural and intrinsic cycles and seasons that exist within a full and expressed life? Alison and her special guests explore it all. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
