OpenAI Acquired Multi, Amazon's AI Challenger To ChatGPT

OpenAI acquires remote collaboration platform Multi, while Amazon works on a chatbot called Metis to rival OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini. OpenAI's acquisition strategy focuses on aqua-hiring talent, with a majority of new hires being technical roles. Amazon's Metis project aims to integrate the chatbot into its retail shop. The project is known internally as Ban Yan and will feature two tiers of service. However, it is uncertain how much priority Metis will be given.
