OpenClaw: Your AI Assistant That Actually Gets Things Done

from The Web Talk Show Hosted by Armando J. Perez-Carreno

OpenClaw (formerly MoltBot and ClaudeBot) is an AI assistant that runs on your own computer, and you can message it from WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, and other chat apps. Armando explains what it does, how to test it safely, and how he uses it to get real work done. In this episode: Install OpenClaw on an old spare computer and connect it to test accounts, since it gets full access to the machine it runs on. Its persistent memory keeps long conversations going across projects, so you can ask for a draft email now and have it sent later. With cron jobs, it can do research overnight and send you a report at 7:00 a.m. without you building an automation. It found and installed the tools it needed (a local version of Whisper and FFmpeg) to transcribe a video, cut the best clip, and send it back in Telegram. Two people from different businesses added OpenClaw to a Telegram group, and it turned their brainstorm into a working app with a database and a dashboard.
