Opening Up About My OneTaste Experience

from Eros & Earth with Megan Lambert · host Megan D Lambert

Given the popularity of the new Netflix documentary Orgasm Inc., I decided it was time to share about my 4 years deeply involved in the organization, OneTaste.    The documentary paints a dark picture of the company, and OneTaste has spoken out sharing a light side of the company. My motive in this live is to share my experience - the light & the dark, the gold & the grit.    Because ultimately nothing is all light or all dark - there's always fifty shades of gray to any story.    So here I let you in on how I got involved, what I learned from the OneTaste teachings, what the community was like, why I decided to leave, and the lessons I still carry with me in my own coaching business today.   This episode just scratches the surface on my own experience. There are thousands of people with their unique OneTaste experience (including those in the documentary) whose experience may be quite different from mine. Take what you like and leave the rest.    My hope in sharing this vulnerable episode is to give you an inside glance into this very controversial community who influenced who I am today - and offer more nuance to the conversation around OneTaste.         Key Topics: Why I'm finally ready to talk about my time in OneTaste  [1:35] The SantaCon that led me down the Alice-in-Wonderland rabbit hole [3:15]  Trading an unfulfilling relationship for the practice of Orgasmic Meditation [6:45] The undeniable electricity of the OneTaste community and teachings [9:41] Why I consider OneTaste a cult (affectionately) [11:47] Groupthink — the hallmark of a cult [13:40] Becoming familiar with radical self-honesty and fierce truth [17:32] The dark side: sales skepticism and seeking approval [20:12] The events that pushed me to leave [24:12] The gifts that my time in OneTaste left me [28:08]   —- If you're curious about Megan's offerings, visit www.integratedintimacy.co.
