Operation Christmas Drop
from Pod I Want for Christmas Hosted by Pod I Want For Christmas
Netflix's unconventional made for TV holiday romance, Operation Christmas Drop, includes all the tropes found in any generic Christmas-obsessed small-town setting: the local good-guy, the career-focused gal embarking on a journey of healing, and the annual international humanitarian effort that brings them together. Without a hint of irony, the best part of this one is the real-life inspiration of Anderson Air Force Base's annual Operation Christmas Drop in the Micronesian Islands. As we approach this Veteran's Day, may God (and Pod) Bless all you service men and women!
