Prior to founding Evolution Mining, Jake was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sino Gold Mining Ltd, a listed gold mining company and one of the largest foreign participants in the Chinese Gold industry, which was later acquired by Eldorado Gold Corporation in 2009. Prior to Sino Gold, Jake worked in the Bullion Division of Macquarie Bank Ltd and commenced his career with PwC in South Africa.
