He has been awarded funding from the National Institutes of Health and Department of Defense, and has been the recipient of awards from the American College of Sports Medicine, American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, and Orthopaedic Research Society. He currently serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy and Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise and is a member of the editorial board for 5 other journals.
