Optimise Your Success And Overcome Your Fear Of Failure & Imposter Syndrome
from Quietly Visible · host Carol Stewart
Executive coach and expert in mentoring and leadership development, Dr Ruth Gotian has had a fascination with success from an early age. She used to think that people were born successful or into a family with connections or because of the school they went to. Through her studies and research she discovered that even if you come from the most difficult of personal circumstances, success is a skill that can be learnt. She claims that high achievers share the same four attributes: intrinsic motivation, perseverance, strong foundation, and constantly learning through informal means. Using these four shared attributes as a guide you too can learn how to overcome your fear of failure or imposter syndrome and optimise your success in your own life. About Dr Ruth Gotian Dr. Ruth Gotian is the Chief Learning Officer and Assistant Professor of Education in Anesthesiology and former Assistant Dean of Mentoring and Executive Director of the Mentoring Academy at Weill Cornell Medicine. She has been hailed by the journal Nature and Columbia University as an expert in mentoring and leadership development and is currently a contributor to Forbes and Psychology Today where she writes about ‘optimising success’. She also has a weekly show and podcast by the same name where she gathers high achievers to talk about their journey to success. In 2021, she was one of 30 people worldwide to be named to the Thinkers50 Radar List, dubbed the Oscars of management thinking and is a semi-finalist for the Forbes 50 Over 50 list.
