We are often protected in residency from feeling the true weight of the responsibility or dealing with the patient long-term. Dr. Christopher Shaffrey will discuss how to manage complications medically/ethically, the shame that accompanies them, and how to both protect yourself and the patient from the challenging feelings that are difficult to navigate.
