I met German Utria in the 5th grade in 1983 or so. Our friendship was forged on music, movies, food, and more. I also based the Gerry character in my films 1985-1986 and Cool Summer on this person who made (and continues to make) an indelible impact on me.In this interview we talk about how I told a massive lie at a sleepover, age differences, and being more clean and tidy in old age.These videos are part of an ongoing video series chronicling the hardcore punk music scene.
