Orchard Vista Brings Hope to Displaced Families | Spokane News

Spokane Valley just unveiled Orchard Vista, a 240-unit affordable apartment complex that’s already leasing out fast—nearly half sold before opening. For families like Rachelle Miller and her four kids, who were displaced by fires and lived in shelters over the summer, this isn’t just housing—it’s a lifeline. Built in just a year, the complex offers one- to three-bedroom units and is expected to be fully leased by year’s end. While the Spokane Housing Authority is preparing aid for fire-affected families—even those outside standard income limits—they’re waiting on a presidential disaster declaration to move forward. Orchard Vista represents more than new apartments; it’s foundational stability for a community rebuilding from loss.
