Order in the House - Christ's Headship of the Church and Family

In this Mother’s Day message, Pastor Chris reflects on Martin Luther’s early actions in the Reformation and the remarkable grace he showed toward church leaders, even as he challenged serious errors. Drawing from Colossians, Ephesians, and Hebrews, we see the biblical convictions that shaped Luther’s respect for the authority placed above him.Scripture teaches that Christ Himself has established every sphere of authority—family, church, and government—and that when we serve the leaders He has set over us, we are ultimately serving Him (Col. 3:24). Because Christ is the One who orders His world, He calls His people to reflect that same orderliness in our homes and in our churches, with everything done in love.As we honored mothers today, we recognized the unique and God‑given role they play in shaping that order—nurturing, guiding, and building households where Christ’s love is learned and lived. Through their faithful labor, we see a living picture of the gracious, ordered care God intends for His people.
