Ordinary People (1980)
from You Need To See This! Hosted by Bri & Cozi
This week, Briana tells Cozi about the 1980 drama—and Robert Redford's directorial debut—Ordinary People. The Jarrett family tries to return to a sense of normalcy after a devastating loss, but Conrad, the youngest son, struggles to cope. Briana loves this film because of how it touches on mental health, grief, and depression, and the consequences of trying to ignore or move past them. Will Cozi be willing to watch this family drama full of complex characters and naturalistic performances? Listen and find out! Also, Cozi does a We Saw It for 9 to 5 (1980), recommended on one of our older episodes! Recommendations: Bri – Support queer filmmakers and queer-centered stories Cozi – Download emulators for older gaming systems that you didn’t try when you were younger 📼📼📼 Follow You Need to See This! on: Instagram Facebook
