OrEd-T-20.3-Thorns and Lilies.210. We have forgiven Jesus. This Easter we look with different eyes upon each other. And yet, until WE can see our gift of lilies, Jesus cannot use them. Nor can we use what HE has given unless we share it. Listen and hear this carefully. The Holy Spirit's vision is no idle gift, no plaything to be tossed about and laid aside. We will not think it is only a dream, a careless thought to play with from time to time, or a toy we would pick up and then put away. For if we do, that is what its value will be to us. 11. Now we have the vision to look past all illusions. It has been given us to see no thorns, no strangers, and no obstacles to peace. Knowing his savior stands beside him, who is afraid to look on illusions? Our vision has become the greatest power for the undoing of illusion that God HImself could give. For what God gave the Holy Spirit, we have received. We have asked for, and been given the strength to look upon this final obstacle. The fear of God is nothing to us now. The Son of God looks to us for his release. And we see no thorns, nor nails to crucify the Son and crown him king of death. Our chosen home is beyond the veil. It has been carefully prepared for us, and is ready to receive us now. We have the vision to see our home, but not with the body's eyes. 112. Since time began our home has called to us, and we have heard. We heard, but did not know where to look nor how. And now we know. The knowledge is in us, freed from the terror that kept it hidden, ready to be unveiled. The song of Easter is the glad refrain that the Son of God was never crucified. In faith we lift our eyes together. There is no fear in love. And there will be no fear in us, for there will be no illusions in our vision--only a pathway to the open door of Heaven, the home we share, and where we live in gentleness and peace together, as one. 113. I would have my holy brother lead me there. Shining from the holy altar within him where I laid the lilies of forgiveness, his innocence will light my way, offering me its guiding light and sure protection. I let him be to me the savior from illusions, and look on him with the new vision that looks on lilies and brings me joy. We go beyond the veil of fear, lighting each other's way. Our home, and the holiness that leads us, is within us. So we will find what we were meant to find by Him Who leads us. 114. This is the way to Heaven and to the peace of Easter. We join in the glad awareness that the Son of God is risen from the past and awakened to the present. Now he is free, unlimited in his communion with all that is within him. Now, the lilies of his innocence are perfectly protected from the cold chill of fear and withering blight of sin. My savior is free to guide me safely through thorns, nails and beyond, for my gift has saved him. Rejoicing, I walk with him, for the savior from illusions has come to lead me home with him. 115. Here is my savior and my friend, released from crucifixion through my vision, and free to lead me where he would be. As the savior from his pain, he will not leave nor forsake me. Gladly we will walk the way of innocence together, singing as we behold the open door of Heaven, and recognize the home that called to us. Joyously, we give to one another the freedom and the strength to take us there. The lamp is lit in both of us for one another, and both of us shall be led past fear to love. We come before each other's holy altar where strength and freedom wait, to offer and receive the bright awareness that leads us home.
