Oregon Ducks Stumble in Upset Loss | Oregon Ducks Football News

Oregon’s dream season hit a major snag as the Ducks suffered a shocking 39-31 loss to unranked Oklahoma State, despite being heavy favorites. The turning point? A disastrous fourth-down gamble that led to a turnover on downs with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter — a move many called reckless. Analysts like Colin Cowherd are already questioning head coach Dan Lanning’s ability to lead a title contender, even comparing him unfavorably to Lincoln Riley. Quarterback Dante Moore struggled with under-50% completion, and while Oregon’s defense forced two interceptions, they surrendered over 500 yards — including a big ground game. Lanning himself admitted it was a “disaster” and that his team “got their ass kicked.” This early stumble threatens Oregon’s championship hopes, even as they remain ranked among the nation’s elite.
