Origen del woke

Se denomina woke como la forma de denominar a varios movimientos e ideologías progresistas radicales o de izquierda identitaria posmoderna percibidos como demasiado entusiastas, agresivos, agitadores, susceptibles o poco sinceros, y por su tendencia a la censura de opiniones discrepantes mediante la llamada cultura de la cancelación. A su vez, algunos comentaristas llegaron a considerarlo un término ofensivo con asociaciones negativas para quienes promueven ideas políticas que involucran identidad y raza. En realidad el término adoptado tiene otro origen y vamos a descubrir como los términos pueden ir cambiado de acepción según la época en la que se use y por quién y cómo se use… No es woke todo lo que reluce y todo lo que reluce no es woke.
