The Orioles opened their three-game series in Detroit with a much-needed 8-5 win over the Tigers. Baltimore came out aggressively at the plate, piled up early hits, and built a lead behind big swings from Coby Mayo, Leody Taveras, and Tyler O'Neill. Jackson Holliday also delivered a four-hit performance, helping set the tone for an offense that stayed active from the first inning on. The game also featured a strong bullpen effort after Kyle Bradish was unable to finish five innings. Grant Wolfram earned the win, while Rico Garcia closed things out with a clean ninth inning. In between, Colton Cowser made a spectacular diving catch in right-center field that helped shut down a Detroit rally and preserved an important series-opening victory.
