Orleans' Lance Hoppen on Living On Music

Lance Hoppen is the bassist and one of the early members of Orleans, the American pop rock band formed in 1972 in Woodstock, New York by Lance's older brother Larry Hoppen, John Hall and Wells Kelly. Following two commercial flops, Orleans struck gold in ’75 as slick pop rock became a hit radio staple, and their ensuing slabs reached the upper echelon of the singles and album charts. The band is best known for its hits "Dance with Me" (No. 6 in 1975); "Still the One" (No. 5 in 1976), from the album 'Waking and Dreaming' and "Love Takes Time" (No. 11 in 1979).
