Dr. Crompton’s research focuses on utilizing genomic and proteomic technologies to identify and validate new therapeutic targets for pediatric solid tumors and to develop non-invasive biomarkers of treatment response and resistance in these diseases. We have recently developed a new approach to study tumor genomics through liquid biopsy technologies including the profiling of circulating tumor DNA and circulating tumor cells in blood samples of patients with pediatric solid tumors. Dr. Crompton is also engaged in national efforts to study the biology of osteosarcoma through the Children’s Oncology Group studies and through patient-led research initiatives including the Count Me In project. ...
