Osteoporosis

Today on MedNet21, we’re going to discuss Osteoporosis. This program will review some clinical practice guidelines for the primary care provider assessing patients for fracture risk and review the role of calcium and vitamin D requirements in the setting of osteoporosis.  Some practical tips are provided regarding use of FRAX and organization of clinical notes. The mechanism of action and the use of FDA approved medications for treatment of osteoporosis will be discussed.
